Hi! I'm Adrienne.

The countdown is on to April 1… time for the big reveal‼️

Hey there, Reader!

I've got some exciting news to share 🌟

For as long as I can remember, writing a book has been a dream of mine. A dream I always thought would happen "later." Well, "later" arrived in a way I never anticipated. I'm thrilled (and honestly, a bit nervous) to announce the launch of my book, "Scattered Thoughts on Loss: Grief Haikus". This work explores the depth of grief I've navigated since my dear mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in June 2022.

Writing in haiku—a traditional form of Japanese poetry consisting of three lines with a syllable pattern of 5-7-5—allowed me to encapsulate my rollercoaster of emotions succinctly. This format was like a word game, challenging me to fit vast feelings into structured simplicity, providing a much-needed space from overwhelming thoughts and emotions. It's a gentle reminder that thoughts and feelings are transient, especially in grief.

My deepest hope for "Scattered Thoughts on Loss" is to offer solace and understanding, to whisper across the pages that no one is alone, even in their darkest hours. Sharing these pieces of my heart wasn't easy, but if it means reaching out to someone who needs it, every word is worth it.

"Scattered Thoughts on Loss: Grief Haikus" will be available on Amazon starting April 1. If you’re in the midst of a difficult time, I invite you to explore its pages.

Weekly Dose of Inspiration:

🎧 Podcast Highlight: Episode 057: Book Launch: My Grief Transformed into Words - This episode comes out tomorrow! It's the story behind the book and why sharing this journey felt necessary.

đź’ˇ Weekly Wisdom: This week, dedicate a moment to mindfulness. Whether it's five minutes of deep breathing, a walk outside, or journaling, find a practice that brings you back to center.

✨ Empowering Quote: "The only way out is through." – Robert Frost. In times of sorrow, remember the strength in moving forward, one step at a time.

✨ Reflective Quote: "Grief, I've learned, is really just love. It's all the love you want to give but cannot." —Jamie Anderson. Your grief is a measure of your love, unbounded and pure.

âť“ Thought-Provoking Question: What small act of self-kindness can you gift yourself today? How can it illuminate your path through the darkness?

🎯 Challenge for the Week: Set aside time this week to engage in an activity that grounds you in the present moment, especially during difficult times or transitions. This could be anything from a creative hobby, meditation, to immersing yourself in nature. Focus on the activity fully, allowing it to anchor you amidst the waves of change.

In our moments of darkness, feeling understood can be comforting. If you've felt like you're wandering alone in your grief, let "Scattered Thoughts on Loss" be a companion, a mirror to your own journey, reminding you of the shared human experience in grief and love. Until next time, live your truth, love your life.

With love,

Adrienne

P.S. Alongside the release of my book on April 1, I'll be offering a free course on anticipatory grief on my website. This course is designed to provide additional support and insights for anyone navigating the complex emotions of anticipatory grief. Stay tuned for this valuable resource, crafted with love and understanding.
