Hey there, Reader!
The other day on my morning walk, I spotted some vibrant pink roses. My Nana loved roses, and whenever I see them, I don’t just think of her—I feel her presence with me. You don’t have to believe in anything specific to feel the presence of someone who’s no longer here. People leave their mark on us, and that mark stays long after they’re physically gone.

So much of how I show up and treat others is thanks to my Nana. I feel lucky everyday to have had her influence in my life.
Seeing those roses inspired me to journal using my Inside Voice method, which is all about writing from the perspective of symbols, feelings, emotions, or experiences in your life. I became the rose and uncovered a message that I didn’t even know I needed. This method has been a game-changer for me, and I’m excited to share it with you.

That’s why I’m excited to announce the launch of my Substack, Inside Voice. I’ll be sharing my personal writing using this method, and I know it will help you find new perspectives and insights on your own journey.

If you’re looking for a gentle way to start a self-care practice, try noticing the beauty around you, whether it’s a flower, a song, or a cherished memory. Then, consider journaling as that symbol. What message does it have for you? It’s a simple practice, but it’s one that’s brought me so much clarity and comfort.

And while you’re exploring new ways to care for yourself, tune into this week’s episode of Living With Loss:
🎧 Episode 079: Why Self-Care Feels So Hard During Grief and What to Do About It
In this episode, I explore why self-care can feel impossible when you’re grieving and offer practical ways to make it more accessible, even when it feels tough. It’s all about finding small, gentle ways to nurture yourself, no matter what.

Take care of yourself this week. Remember, it’s okay to take it one step at a time.

With love,
Adrienne

P.S. Don’t forget to sign up for Inside Voice, my new Substack. It’s a candid exploration of life’s toughest challenges, written from the perspective of the symbols, feelings, emotions, and experiences that shape us.
