Hey there, Reader!
I’ve been sitting with a question that won’t let me go. It was sparked by a book I’m reading: Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty.
In it, a woman walks down the aisle of a plane, looks passengers in the eye, and tells them the exact age and cause of their death.
Some are told they’ll live to be 102. Others, that they won’t make it through the year.
Fiction, yes. But the question it leaves behind? Very real.
If you had one year left, what would you do differently?
That question has been haunting me in the best way.
Even though I live intentionally, I still catch myself doing things out of habit, obligation, or numbness.
My clock is ticking, but if I knew my time was almost up, I know I’d change a few things.
So now I’m asking you:
🤔 What are you saving for “someday”?
🤔 What are you tolerating, even though you know it’s not aligned?
🤔 What’s the thing you’d finally start, or finally stop, if you knew your time was running out?
Your life is happening now.
Not in a year. Not when you have it all figured out. Not after you feel ready.
We spend so much time waiting—for the right moment, the right sign, the right level of certainty.
Life doesn’t wait, and your time is too precious to spend it sleepwalking.
You don’t need a whole new plan. You just need to take a step in the direction you want to go.
One small step today.
Pick one thing that would shift if you knew your time was limited.
Then ask: What’s one small thing I can do today to move towards that?
You don’t have to move across the world or quit your job by next Friday, although you can that's what you want.
Maybe you could schedule the class. Speak the truth. Take the walk.
Maybe you could start, even if it’s messy, uncertain, or slow.

I explore all of this and more in this week’s Better Days Start Today podcast episode. I’d love for you to give it a listen. Feel free to back with any thoughts you have on the episode and the question If you have one year left, what would you do differently?

With love,
Adrienne
